Templates for Copyright Page and other

I collected 3 templates for Front Matter I am constantly using. Having a template ready for copy and paste saves some time. Most of the time you will use the same anyways. So grab them here, adjust it to your need and start your own template collection. And feel free to share.

Create a Front Matter page and name it Copyright and insert the following template. You need to replace the parts in <> brackets with your actual values. Note that the title of your book and the author’s name are automatically added at the beginning of the page.

Published in <year> by <author>
{: .publisher }

<street><br />
<city><br />
{: .address }

On the web: *[<Your Website>](<url of your website>)*
Please send errors to *[<your support mail account>](mailto:<your support mail account>)*
{: .links }

Publisher: <publisher>
Coverdesign: <designer>

Copyright &#x00A9; <year> <copyright holder>
{: .small }

All rights reserved. No part of this publication may be reproduced or transmitted in any form or by any means, electronic or mechanical, including photocopy, recording or any information storage and retrieval system, without prior permission in writing from the publisher.
{: .small }

It depends on your country or the country you are publishing in how much information you must provide. For example, when publishing in Germany you either need to add your full address or a name registered with the Handelsregister, a company register. They got your address.

Whereas in the United States it is enough to add

Copyright &#x00A9; <year> <copyright holder>
All Rights Reserved.

Disclaimer

Create a Front Matter page, the name does not matter. But it is important to add the header manually as in the following example.

# Disclaimer

The author and publisher of this book are not responsible in any manner whatsoever for any injury that may occur through following the instructions contained in this book. The activities, physical and otherwise, described herein for informational purposes only, may be too strenuous or dangerous for some people and the reader should consult a physician before doing them.

The disclaimer should fit the topic of your book. It does not make sense for a health disclaimer in a fiction book.

You can find great disclaimer texts here.

Title Page

It announces the title, subtitle, author, and publisher of the book. Sometimes with additional information like location, illustrations or short descriptive text about the book. If you got a great logo, it is the place to add it.

Create a Front Matter page, the name does not matter. Moopato does not generate this page at the moment.

Here is a template of the page I use. Replace the <> with your actual values.

#<title>
